Here's a look at what we're covering with your kids this month so that you can continue growing at home during the week.
Week 1
BIG IDEA:
God helps us choose wisely
BIBLE:
 Daniel 1; 2 Timothy 1:7–14
ABOUT THIS WEEK:
 Whether it's a card, a number, or a cup, some of the best illusions ask us to make difficult choices. This week, we'll hear about a difficult choice Daniel and his friends needed to make: to listen to God or follow a king's command. Their trust in God throughout this incredible story reminds us that when we face difficult decisions, God helps us choose wisely.
Week 2
BIG IDEA:
 God is ready to rescue us.
BIBLE:
 Daniel 3; 2 Timothy 2:8–15
ABOUT THIS WEEK:
 Some of the most memorable illusions amaze us with impossible escapes that we just can't understand. This week, we'll hear how God rescued Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from a fiery furnace—and it wasn't an illusion. Their incredible story reminds us that when we need help facing the challenges in our lives, God is ready to rescue us.
Week 3
BIG IDEA:
God’s words show us what to do.
BIBLE:
 Daniel 5; 2 Timothy 3:14–4:5
ABOUT THIS WEEK:
 Illusions are designed to be mysterious, and illusionists swear never to reveal their secrets. This week, we'll hear how Daniel used the wisdom God gave him to reveal the meaning behind some mysterious writing. By uncovering what no one else could, Daniel's story helps us see how God's words show us what to do and help guide us through every challenge we face.
Week 4
BIG IDEA:
Our courage can help others see God.
BIBLE:
 Daniel 6; 2 Timothy 4:6–8, 16–18
ABOUT THIS WEEK:
Every illusion takes courage, whether trusting an assistant with a saw or performing in front of a crowd. This week, we'll hear about the time Daniel showed courage by praying to God, even though he knew it would put him in danger. His bravery revealed God's power to the whole kingdom and helps remind us that our courage can help others see God.

ABOUT THIS WEEK
Spies work behind the scenes, uncovering secrets and taking on confidential missions. This week, we'll hear the story of how Esther, an ordinary girl with no special status, became queen and found herself at the center of a hidden plan that God used to rescue an entire nation and protect God's people. From her incredible story, we are reminded that God gives me a mission.
Week 2
BIG IDEA
Nothing will turn me away from God

Esther 3:1–15; 2 Thessalonians 2:13–17

ABOUT THIS WEEK
Spies often face danger, but they stay focused and committed, no matter how risky the mission becomes. This week we'll uncover the story of Haman's evil plot and how Mordecai's faith in God never wavered, even when he faced great danger. From Mordecai's unshakable trust in God, we are reminded that nothing will turn me away from God, no matter what challenges we face.
Week 3
BIG IDEA
I can stand up for God and others.

BIBLE
Esther 4:1-17; 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13

ABOUT THIS WEEK
Every spy knows that doing what's right isn't always easy- especially when it means taking a risk for others. This week, we'll hear about how Mordecai asked Esther to risk her life and approach the king to save her people. It could have cost her everything, but Esther's boldness reminds us that no matter the challenge, I can stand up for God and others.
Week 4
BIG IDEA
I can follow God even when nobody's watching.

BIBLE
Esther 2:21-23; 6:1-11; Colossians 1:9-14

ABOUT THIS WEEK
Being a spy means doing the right thing even when no one notices - that's often the point of the mission! This week we'll hear the story of when Mordecai uncovered a plot to harm the king and chose to protect him, even though he wasn't rewarded for it. His loyalty and faithfulness shows us that I can follow God even when nobody's watching.
Week 5
BIG IDEA
God can send me to make peace.

Esther 5:1-8, 7:1-6, 8:1-8; Psalm 122:6-9

ABOUT THIS WEEK
Spies are experts at coming up with creative solutions to solve big problems in tricky situations. This week, we'll learn about how Esther used wisdom, courage, and careful planning to approach the king and saver her people, finding a peaceful way to stop a dangerous situation. Her bold actions reminds us that no matter how hard the challenge, God can send me to make peace.

ABOUT THIS WEEK
Whether it's a map or someone who's made the trip before, Christmas road trips remind us of how we need someone who knows the journey ahead. This week, we'll hear how God gave Zechariah and Elizabeth a baby, John, who would grow up to prepare the way for Jesus, John helped guide people towards God, showing us how God gives people to guide us.
Week 2
BIG IDEA
God gives hope to guide us

BIBLE
An Angel visits Mary: Luke 1:26-38; James 5:7-11

ABOUT THIS WEEK
On long road trips, the hope of seeing loved ones during the holidays keeps us going. This week, we'll hear how an angel visited Mary to announce she would give birth to Jesus, who would help bring a new hope to the world. Faced with unexpected news, Mary found hope in God's faithfulness, showing us how God gives hope to guide us.

Week 3
BIG IDEA
God gives a Savior to guide us

BIBLE
Jesus is born: Luke 2:1-20; Isaiah 7:10-16

ABOUT THIS WEEK
One of the most essential pieces of road trip gear is a map or GPS to guide you toward your final destination. This week we'll hear how angels guided a group of shepherds to Bethlehem so they could be the first people to meet Jesus. Their incredible journey was an important sign for everyone that God gives a Savior to guide us.
Week 4
BIG IDEA
God gives direction to guide us

BIBLE
The Magi visit Jesus: Matthew 2:1-12; Matthew 2:13-23

ABOUT THIS WEEK

When you don't have a map to guide you, a landmark can help keep you from getting lost during your road trip. This week we'll hear how God used a shining star to help guide the Magi to Jesus and they even brought him gifts! Their journey to Bethlehem is an incredible reminder that God gives direction to guide us.
